Wentzville is a city located in eastern Missouri. The city is named for Peter Louis Kingston Wentz, III, who was a railroad official. Wentzville is situated in the 3rd largest county in Missouri, St. Charles County, and was laid out in 1855. In 2010, Wentzville had a population of approximately 29,070 people according to the U.S. Census Bureau. The United States Postal Service has operated an office in Wentzville since 1859.
